FINALLY, after a month of being here, I got my new brand spanking cellphone.

Yes, I am incredibly happy with it. Yes, it may make me look snobby, but truth is I only use it as a phone and because it cost me 49 euros (75 dollars). And I'm in love.

Number 25 : Shop at a thrift shop.

Even better than a thrift shop, a flea market!

I bought 2 coats for 26 euros (one of them is a Zara one) and a brand new Longchamp bag for 40 euros (regular price : 78 euros)!

And who can forget? I have a "mood ring" I bought for 3 euros that keeps changing colors all the time. SO lovely! Maybe it means I am somewhat bipolar!

So happy with my purchases.

About 2 weeks ago, I went running in the Orangerie park. It is a BEAUTIFUL park and I really loved running around. It's so peaceful it's just amazing!

Obviously, for privacy reasons, I can't post it here, BUT I have made a Excel sheet with all the types of expenses, the budget for every kind and the real amount I have spent in each one. I also list every expense, the amount, the place and the day.

I guess this is also part of moving away from home. You have a budget and you have to stick to it, because at least for me, my parents aren't an ATM and I have a limited amount of money. Of course, if there's an emergency they will send me more money, but normally, I have a certain amount of euros per month.

On Wednesday, July 1st, 2009, we got out Bac results back. My average? 15.71/20. Enough to get my mention bien (above 14/20), and my scholarship.

Well, sort of scholarship. But at least I have a scholarship STATUS that helps.

Last night, we were wondering where to go to dinner. Since we couldn't make our minds up, we said : "Okay. We're in km 68.2. We'll stop and have dinner anywhere that's in km 70". (We had recently reset the car's counter).

And that's what we did. We rumbled and when the counter said 70 km, we stopped and had dinner at this LOVELY place. We all loved it. And we also loved the fact it was "spontaneous".

I've seen this movie entirely too many times, but I love it. I still cry at certain moments and I can sing about every song. Yes, I still cry when they're singing at the festival, and I sing that Goodbye song randomly when I'm saying goodbye to people. I'm appropriate like that.

Monday, March 30th : Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium.
Gotta love this movie. Natalie Portman looks incredibly hot, and the movie leaves you with a great message. Plus, it's fun. I wish I knew a toystore like that one.

Tuesday, March 31st : Casino Royale.

Daniel Craig. Yummy. Enough said.

Wednesday, April 1st : Definitely Maybe.
Awww... I love this movie. Ryan Reynold is SO ugly (Scarlett, what were you thinking?), but the plot is lovely and I love Abigail Breslin.

Thursday, April 2nd : Step Up.
This is the movie that started my whole dance-movies cycle. I LOVE every movie that involves dancing, and this one is probably one of my favorites. Plus, Channing Tatum is HOT.

Friday, April 3rd : Center Stage.

MY FAVORITE DANCE MOVIE. That final song? To Jamiroquai's song? MY DREAM.

Saturday, April 4th : Center Stage 2
Learnt there was a part 2. Highly disappointed. Bad movie, awful actors. Ew. Dancing? Blah!

Sunday, April 5th : Slumdog Millionaire
Oh, the wonders of living in a 3rd-world country! I bought this movie for $1 and I've seen it entirely too many times.

It's DONE! I'm so glad I already sent everything and that now, I just have to go through some interviews and tests, and I'm good to go. I have to wait until June 9th to know the results, but I'm so glad I'm done.

Today, March 15th, we are having our presidential elections. About 2 months ago, we were having our municipal/assembly elections. No matter what the result is, no matter who wins, no matter if I'm happy with it or not, I participated. I made important decisions for my country's future. I voted. I am a citizen, and I'm so proud of it.

Number 91 : Give up Coca-Cola (No soda for 6 weeks).

Soda has always been kind of an addiction to me. Problem is, I have hypoglycemia. Which means, I can't have much sugar. And we all know how much sugar soda contains. So, after a while, I moved on to "diet" sodas. Which are plenty of "fake" sugars that are just as bad.

So, my goal was to stop drinking soda for 6 weeks. Why 6 weeks? Because I've heard that making a new habit takes 3 weeks, but leaving an old one takes 6. So, that's why I only made it 6 weeks.

January 4th, 2009 I stopped drinking soda. 6 weeks later, on February 16th, I had accomplished my goal. It was REALLY hard in the beginning because it had been like an addiction. I got headaches and HORRIBLE cravings. Now, after 6 weeks, I am not feeling the NEED for it. I am feeling much better.

The best part? I substitued the soda for water and natural juices. My body feels much better. Plus, soda gives you cellulite. No good can come from that.

I am not saying I won't EVER again drink soda, but the amounts will surely be reduced : they'll go from "daily" to "occasionally".

Now, the only soda I will have daily will be my favorite band, Argentinian rock band Soda Stereo.

Number 68 : Run January 25 2009’s marathon in high heels for charity.
